Important Poster Information

Poster boards will be set up in the 1st and 2nd floor open areas of the I. Dodd Wilson building.  You may start putting up your posters on March 9th after 3:30 p.m.  All posters must be up by 8:00 a.m. on March 10, 2020 and removed by 4:00 p.m. the same day.

In the Student Research Day (SRD) program, you will see a number and A or B beside your name and abstract title.  This is the number of the poster board to which you have been assigned.  All boards will be numbered and divided into A (left) and B (right) positions/side.  (Example: If you are #20 in Session A, your poster will be on the left side of board #20.)

Explaining your work:

  • Plan to be at your poster during Session A (9:00 – 10:30 a.m.) or Session B (10:30 – 12:00 p.m.).  The time you selected when you submitted your abstract online. This is when your work will be judged by 3 judges, either individually or as a team.

Printing your poster:

  • The Research and Innovaton will pay for the European size SRD posters to be printed (when you use Creative Services).
  • SRD participants must use templates that are 24″ (wide) x 36″ (high).
  • The deadline to submit a poster to Creative Services is February 12, 2020. (Orders submitted after will not receive a proof.)
  • Please name poster files with the author’s name first –
    (e.g., SMITH_JOHN_SRD2019_Mammalian_Infection_Rate_Arkansas.PPT)
  • Use this Creative Services link to submit your poster for printing.

Putting up your poster:

  • There will be two vertical posters per board side. Contact Creative Services for the SRD research poster template.
  • Session A presenters will post on the left side of the assigned poster board. Session B presenters will post on the right side of the assigned poster board.
  • You will find push pins and SRD programs on a table as you enter IDW.  We do not supply colored construction or poster board paper.

*NO VELCRO MAY BE USED ON THE BOARDS! (It damages the surfaces.)

Please have your poster removed by 4:00 p.m.  If you are unable to remove your poster by this time, please have someone do it for you.
