DLAM is comprised of over 55,000 ft2 of dedicated animal housing and support space across three building. Specialized facilities, including containment, ABSL-2, surgical, procedural and necropsy suites.
Animals are housed by species and health status to minimize infectious disease problems and provide species-specific environments for all research animals.
Personal animals or pets: Keeping pets (e.g. dogs, cats, etc.) in the animal facility, or bringing pets into he animal facility including support spaces is strictly prohibited. Animals can harbor various diseases that can interfere with, and in may cases, invalidate data.
