Supporting Our Campus Community
The UAMS postdoctoral community is committed to fostering a culture of compassion, service, and mutual support. Through the Stocked & Ready Food Drive, UAMS postdocs come together to help meet the growing needs of the Stocked & Ready Food Pantry, a vital resource for students and employees experiencing food insecurity.
Organized in partnership with the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) and Postdoctoral Society (PDS), this effort underscores our shared commitment to building a campus environment where every member feels supported and valued.
Postdoc-Led Initiative
The Stocked & Ready Food Drive is coordinated and led entirely by members of the UAMS postdoctoral community. Postdocs volunteer their time to:
- Promote awareness of food insecurity on campus
- Organize donation drop-offs within their departments
- Collect, sort, and deliver donations to the Food Pantry
- Engage colleagues in service opportunities
- Strengthen the culture of mutual care at UAMS
This initiative reflects the heart of postdocs’ engagement: stepping forward to make a meaningful difference both within and beyond the research environment.
