Research Experience
After receiving my Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Public Health, I practiced for three years, primarily functioning as the clinical pharmacist with the psychiatric treatment team on the two inpatient psychiatric units at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. From 2016-2018, I completed a post-doctoral fellowship in translational addiction research (funded by an Institutional Research Training Grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse) and completed my doctorate in pharmaceutical evaluation and policy. My research has focused on evaluating opioid use and abuse in populations. As a pharmacist, health services researcher, and data scientist, my long-term objective is to reduce the risk for developing substance use disorders and improve their treatment by generating new knowledge from big data and translating that new knowledge into data-driven, actionable strategies and interventions.
