We know that between their regular lives and their IRB responsbilities, our reviewers stay busy. We do, however, ask that you take the time to look over the entire agenda, even if you have no specific review assignments, and, if you do, not just the studies you’re assigned to, for each meeting you attend. Some familiarity with the entire agenda will help you contribute to the discussion of each item, and will help the institution meet its goal of including a diversity of opinions in our consideration of each submission. If your understanding is that you’re at the meeting “just to make quorum requirements,” please don’t let that limit your contributions. We need to hear from you regarding any agenda item you’ve got something to say about.
