We’re seeking your input as part of our continuing quality improvement at the IRB. Translation: We’d like some input on what we do well, and where we need to improve. To that end, everyone in CLARA who’s listed as being either a PI or has having “managing CLARA responsibilities” will receive an email with “IRB Researchers Assessment Tool” in the subject line. It will include a link to a 21-question survey based on the validated IRB Researchers Assessment Tool (or IRB-RAT, an acronym we love). The survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete; most people who’ve tried it so far say it took them 10 or fewer minutes to finish.
While the survey responses will be linked to your contact information, please note we will not routinely attempt to link responses to identifiers. The only time we would try is if you report something to us that we’d like more information on, such as to troubleshoot if you report a particular IRB-related problem.
There’s no deadline for completing the survey, but the quicker you get it done, the fewer annoying reminder emails you’ll receive. Just sayin’.
Please contact IRB director Edith Paal at paalediths@uams.edu or 501-686-5544 if you have any questions.
