The IRB scribes have been hard at work updating the IRB policies to ensure they meet current regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, add references, and make them easier to read.
New policies posted in recent days are:
IRB Policy 2.3, Single/Central IRBs
IRB Policy 3.6, IRB Members and Alternates. Note that the contents of the former IRB Policies 3.7 (alternates) and 3.8 (IRB member training) have been incorporated into the revised Policy 3.6.
This crop of revised policies will be of particular interest to IRB members and staff, to those curious about becoming an IRB member, and to anyone involved in multisite research reviewed by a single IRB.
