When typing in document names in CLARA, please keep the following points in mind:
- The name should include the document type, the version number, and the version date. Example: XYZ Protocol Version 3 14Nov2014.
- If the item you’re naming has a version number and date printed on it, the version number and date you type into CLARA must match those printed on the document itself.
- Remember to revise the version number and date each time you amend the document.
- Please don’t include commas or underscores in the document titles you type in. We’ve noticed that some web browsers will not open documents when the titles include a comma, which can complicate the IRB’s review of an item. Underscores make the title not appear correctly on the reviewers’ side.
IRB letters pick up the document names you type in when listing approved items. If the names are complete and accurate, you’ll have clear documentation of the specific items approved.
