Remember — when you need to change something in an approved study, please review the entire submission to make sure you catch and amend everything that needs changing. For example, even a minor protocol amendment, such as changing a study’s end date, or a staffer’s phone number, might require changing the new submission form, the consent form, advertisements, and the protocol, and possibly in more than one spot in each of those items. We strive to make all study submissions as internally consistent as possible, so we have a clear record of your proposal. Making sure all related items are updated when you’re making a change can save you some contingencies, and possibly an audit finding if you get audited down the road.
