We’ve all heard the saying, “Consent is a process, not a form.” An upcoming workshop at Arkansas Children’s Hospital promises an innovative look into the process of informed consent with your study subjects, and offers Certified Research Specialist (CRS) credit to boot.
The first hour of this 2-hour class will review the regulations, policies, and latest research and procedures to make conversations with potential study subjects more informative and productive. During hour 2, participants will be given an informed consent and study tools and asked to inform classmates of a sample study using their new skills.
The class is cheduled for Feb. 5, from 1 to 3 pm at ACH South Campus: Brandon North A&B. The target audience is research coordinators (new or experienced), principal investigators, research assistants, and students, and anyone who wants to learn more about the informed consent process while earning CRS credit.
