Update on upcoming CRS course offerings

The Spring 2016 calendar is filling up with educational opportunities for those seeking to obtain their Certified Research Specialist certification. Here are some upcoming live activities, so mark your calendars to earn some hours:

Essentials of Quality Human Subject Research. Wednesday, February 10, 9am to 4pm; IDW 214A/B

Developing a Research Protocol. Thursday, February 18, 1 to 2pm; IDW 115B

Advanced Research Ethics. Friday, March 4, 8am to 12 noon; IDW 214A/B

Research Misconduct. Wednesday, March 30, 11am to 1pm; IDW 114A/B

Writing Standard Operating Procedures. Thursday, April 7, 11am to 1pm; COPH 2/280

Reportable New Information and the IRB. Wednesday, April 13, 1 to 2pm; IDW 214A/B

Protocol Deviations. Monday, April 18, 2 to 3pm; IDW 105A/B

Research Billing. Wednesday, May 4, 12 noon to 1pm; IDW 214A/B

A new Research News blog quiz is also expected to be posted soon. You will be able to access that quiz from any computer at your convenience to earn 0.5 elective hours.

To learn more about the Certified Research Specialist program, please visit the Office of Research Compliance website and click on Education (CRS Program) for more information and to learn how to register.

You can sign up for live classes through Training Tracker. Feel free to attend a class even if you’re not able to sign up in advance. Either way, be sure to sign the attendance sheet at the class to ensure you get your hours.
