When you log into the human subject protection training program at citiprogram.org, you’ll be asked to affiliate with a particular institution. Please be careful to select UAMS to ensure that you are directed to the correct training! We’ve noticed that some people have accidentally affiliated with UALR, which, while also part of the University of Arkansas system, is distinct from UAMS and requires different human subject protection training elements than UAMS does. Therefore, a UALR completion certificate may not be enough to meet UAMS training requirements.
UAMS will review individual cases and does accept other institutions’ human subject protection training when the content is found to match ours fairly closely. So if your primary appointment is at another institution and you have already completed that institution’s training, we may in some cases accept that training. However, if you work primarily at UAMS, the UAMS affiliation is the best one to ensure you meet our institutional requirements.
