We can’t predict the future, and we need to be prepared to continue to protect human research subjects in the event of an emergency that disrupts human research protection program operations. UAMS has extensive plans in place to maintain operations if an emergency happens. To meet requirements put in place by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs, or AAHRPP, we have created a procedure specific to continuing human subject research to the extent possible when an emergency strikes. The Emergency Preparedness Plan for the Human Research Protection Program is accessible via the link, and can always be found on the UAMS Research and Innovation website.
