Researchers and study teams that are required to complete human subject protection training through the CITI program once every three years. Community partners who work with researchers have the option of completing human subject protection training through the CIRTification program instead. CIRTification is a free human subjects protection program designed for non-scientists who do not routinely work in research.
Note that the IRB accepts CIRTification training ONLY for community partners. Community partners don’t routinely work in research but assist research teams in conducting research in the community.
For CITI training:
- Go to the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program) website
- Register
- Affiliate with UAMS or Arkansas Children’s Research Institute
