At the Division of Research & Innovation, UAMS, we have specialized teams to assist researchers throughout various research activities and processes. Whether you’re seeking assistance in drafting and submitting grant applications, require expertise in handling laboratory animals for experimental studies, or are navigating the complexities of human subjects research, our team is here to assist.
Grants Support and Awards Management
ORSP assists researchers in preparing grant application budgets and materials, negotiates the terms and conditions of all awards, drafts and negotiates subcontracts, and reviews and approves all proposals sent to sponsors.
The Grants Accounting Office assists researchers and administrators with post-award management of grants and contracts.
Regulatory and Safety
The IRB is responsible for safeguarding the ethical treatment of research participants by reviewing, approving, and overseeing research projects to ensure compliance.
Assistance with preparing, filing, and maintaining Investigational New Drug/Investigational Device Exemption applications, study monitoring, ClinicalTrials.gov registration, and Good Tissue Practice (GTP) compliance.
